Unforgiven

A fantastic little western directed and starring the mighty Clint Eastwood (who is definitely one of the coolest people who ever existed. I wish I was him...). It follows a similar theme to Gran Torino in the fact that he plays a retired, ageing outlaw dragged back into his old life of murder and death. Interestingly it questions the morals behind murder within a genre that is somewhat defined by its lack of realism and moral regarding death, providing an intriguing twist on the western.

 The Clint/ Morgan Freeman team up is excellent - two veterans on screen at once is a pure joy to watch. A great spin on the western, that manages to retain elements of the genre that we've all come to love. A must for any Eastwood/western fan. [B+]
